Robert Kusserow

Founder & Creative Director

Robert Kusserow is an author, actor, and producer whose work spans literature, film, television, and documentary storytelling. He is the founder of Peekapoo Sisters Productions, LLC, an independent creative company dedicated to stories that stay with audiences long after the final page or closing credits.

Robert began his career within some of the entertainment industry’s most influential studios. At Universal Pictures, he contributed to the development of films including Erin Brockovich, October Sky, The Mummy, Meet Joe Black, Psycho,and Bride of Chucky. He later worked at Paramount Pictures on projects including Mission: Impossible 2, What Women Want, Shaft, Save the Last Dance, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

Before entering feature film development, Robert worked in broadcast journalism with MTV News and KCAL-TV, experiences that continue to shape his perspective on storytelling, human experience, and documentary work.

Robert holds a B.A. in Television & Film Production from California State University, Northridge, as well as an MBA. He also studied screenwriting through UCLA Extension, focusing on one-hour drama, feature film, and documentary structure.

His work often explores themes of connection, resilience, loss, hope, and the emotional experiences that shape our lives.
